Dreamcatchr
Dreamcatchr
dreamcatchr is an indie rock band from Seattle, WA formed in the spring of 2015. The story began five years ago when Raven MacDaniels (founder, guitar) first ventured into songwriting; toiling away with an electric guitar and a loop machine in an empty bedroom, weaving the musings of a dark mind into soft ballads that never strayed far from their origins. Raven discovered friend Shannon Clark’s raw vocal talent and immediately knew her spirit and voice would pair with the songs’ brooding undertones and optimistic energy. Additional members Lalo Martinez (drums), Ben Dorcy (rhythm guitar) and Michael Bruno (bass) lent their own ideas and gave life to the sound that is now dreamcatchr’s dynamic and melodic style.

After their sold out debut performance at The Rendezvous and a bill at Neumos they began work on their debut EP, Night Terrors, which was released on January 28, 2016. Their energetic and engaging live performances are gaining them a reputation as a band to watch out for and they’re excited to continue evolving and contributing in the Seattle music scene.

“dreamcatchr boasts unique rock sound on ‘Night Terrors EP’. The band’s sound is unique amongst the current Seattle soundscape, playing with a tone that could be described as a dance-y urban darkness (think echoes of Interpol and the Strokes) ... Definitely one to keep your eyes and ears on.” – Northwest Music Scene
Cold Comfort
Cold Comfort
Cold Comfort cultivated their rambunctious, upbeat rock and roll playing together around the bonfires and beach parties of their youth. Growing up together in Port Townsend, Washington, Cold Comfort’s music evolved and matured to reflect the enduring bonds of its bandmates. Their songs crackle with life, possessing a depth of emotion uncommon to the work of songwriters so young. Ringing guitars, steely percussion, and infectious rhythms are crafted into a refined sound, yet the feeling is still raw. Effortless soulful howls punctuate soaring vocal harmonies, while lyrics dance from bruisingly honest to gleefully irreverent.
Forest Ray
Forest Ray
Forest Ray experiments in the analog and psychedelic, combining guitar driven psychedelic rock with elements of raw synth-laced post-punk. The group's uninhibited performances and analog recording process have harbored darker, older and more intimate recordings. The songs regularly feature flute and vibraphone which have become staples of the group's brand of psych. The band’s melodic and rhythmic sensibilities occasionally reveal the songwriter’s background in Eastern art music and Balkan music while blending their love for good old fashioned rock n’ roll, psychedelic blues and country. Originally started in San Luis Obispo, CA as a two man recording project the group has now evolved into a touring lineup currently based in Seattle. Their first record, Musical Witchcraft, was released October 28th, 2016 on 180g vinyl. Their second record, Laughing, was released on 180g vinyl on August 25th, 2018.
Dr Danny
Dr Danny
On his debut full length Nothing But Love, Dr. Danny Ayala layers kaleidoscopic baroque funk over a foundation of unapologetic pop songwriting. A compelling amalgam of hook-focused 70s rock, ‘California Sound’ vocal builds, and precise, elegant musicianship, Nothing But Love is both immediately engaging and flush with intricate nuance.

Danny Ayala was born on Long Island, NY. He began his musical journey (somewhat against his will) when his grandmother enrolled him in piano lessons at the age of 6. When Ayala crossed paths with Brian and Michael D’Addario of The Lemon Twigs at an elementary school talent show his fate was sealed.

For the last 10 years they’ve been a musical family; Ayala is part of their live band, and the D’Addario's now make up the studio band for his Dr Danny project. Brian handles production and mixing duties. “One major blessing in my life is that they decided I was talented enough to be a live member of the Lemon Twigs” laughs Ayala. “Through years of touring and learning their complicated material I became the keyboard player and vocalist I am today.”

During this time Ayala had been working on his own material. When he found the courage to play it for the D’Addario’s they offered advice and assistance at once. The songs on Nothing ButLove were recorded at Ayala’s home in Long Island, The Lemon Twigs home in Long Island, and the University of Syracuse.

Thematically, the record covers Ayala’s life in High School, and the love he shared with a particular someone during that time. “I hope that people listen to this record and understand how personal I really get during it” says Ayala. “Even with the naïve lyrics of a 15-year-old in some of the tunes. I got everything I needed to off my chest and now I’m sharing it with the whole world. I hope that someone can relate. Even if it’s just 1 person. I’m DR DANNY and I may tour the word and be “cool” but I’m just another dude with another love story. #NOTHINGBUTLOVE”

Dr. Danny’s debut EP, Lay It On Me Straight, was released in June of 2017. The single “Fly Me Back In Time” was chosen as one of the “Top 50 of 2017” by NPR.
