Blonde Diamond
Blonde Diamond
Vancouver’s fast-rising, dream-pop quintet Blonde Diamond (formerly Youngblood) is reimagining the live-music experience with their palpable, unapologetic, atmospheric vibe and performance. What started as a creative outlet for front-woman, Alexis Young, Blonde Diamond has now received international recognition for their “simultaneously dreamy and vicious” sound led by powerhouse vocals and ethereal instrumentals. Crowds surrender to the Karen O-like frantic energy and Debbie Harry-esque magnetism.

This world-class wrecking crew has toured extensively across Canada, Europe, Australia, the US, and India, sharing bills with Portugal. the Man, Broken Social Scene, CCR, and Chromeo, as well as sold-out Commodore Ballroom shows in Vancouver with Bishop Briggs and Mother Mother. They were named a must-see band at Toronto’s Canadian Music Week, BreakOut West and Australian Music Week 2016, as well as playing festivals FOCUS Wales and The Great Escape (UK), Reeperbahn (Germany), and NH7 Dotin (India) among many others in 2017.

The debut single, “Feel Alright” (2016), produced by DJ Sleepy Tom, peaked at no. 6 on the Spotify Viral Charts within a week of its release, with the rest of the EP now approaching 1M streams. In 2017, Youngblood were the winners of the coveted nation-wide JUNO Master Class mentorship program.

2018 will see the release of the band’s new EP “Fantasy Love” in October, featuring 6 freshly minted tracks, including the first single and video for Better When You’re Close, released in April 2018, and Dark Place, released July 2018.
Moontower
Moontower
Moontower, a three piece indie-electronic band based in Los Angeles, has been playing shows all over California since their formation less than a year ago. Moontower spent significant time before their first performance building their own custom staging, lighting, and production to accompany their music and quickly built a fan base around their extravagant live sets. Through the reputation of their shows, Moontower found themselves opening for the likes of Yungblud, Bad Suns, Magic Giant, Colouring, and playing festivals all before releasing any music. Moontower is known to transform unorthodox spaces into one of a kind live music experiences and, as a group, they stand to push the technical boundaries of what is expected in the live music space at every level of their career. The band’s first two releases on streaming services, “William” and “Leaving You Behind,” were well received by fans and critics alike. With strong Spotify numbers, #1 spots on HypeMachine, and live features on outlets such as NPR, Moontower showed that their music has the ability to stand on its own.
Moon Darling
Moon Darling
There are those bands who recall an older time and place, a moment in history when music was more about saying something of substance than it was about counting the number of streams. Seattle psych rockers Moon Darling cling to this ideology, creating a bluesy sound that harkens back to that classic ’70s rock howl. By channeling the influence of bands like Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple (with a little bit of weirdness thrown in for good measure), the band builds a kaleidoscopic version of those artists that remains relevant and reverent among all the gaudy imitations littering the modern musical landscape.
